Citing massive worldwide recalls, he brings to the attention of the public how dangerous and even disgusting our food market has become. The danger, lack of nutrition, and overall immorality originates from the nation's factory farms. His descriptions of such atmospheres and their conditions serve as part of his reasons supporting his claim that factory farms and modern food production has taken a turn for the worst, and is endangering public health. He cites other empirical evidence, such as the massive decrease in the amount the public spends on food currently, to support his claim. The purpose of his claim and reasons is to speak to the public. He is bringing to their attention an issue that many either intentionally or unintentionally currently overlook.
